Action for Neighbourhood Change, with support from IDI Toronto and funding from United Way Toronto, organized an Ebru (Water Marbling) Workshop that lasted for 10 weeks. The workshop took place at the Hub @ Victoria Park & Eglinton Avenue East. People in the neighbourhood, who are interested in learning this unique centuries old art, attended the workshop every Wednesday for free.
On Dec 6th, 2012 workshop participants organized a community exhibition to showcase their wonderful work with their neighbours. People were surprised to see the beautiful pieces of artwork produced in such a short span of time. The workshop and the exhibition were both quite successful that now the organizers want to continue their efforts in other parts of Toronto.
