Our sincerest thanks to all for the generous donations!!!! The response to this purse drive has been overwhelming as we received almost 250 new and gently used purses and personal care items for women in shelters and those being released from a correctional center.  

 

Our volunteers provided the purses to GTA women shelters and to women upon release from the Vanier Center for Women (VCFW) in Milton. Three of the volunteers had the opportunity to attend the VCFW to spread some cheer to the women in custody for International Women’s day and were very well received. Feedback from shelter and VCFW staff and the women receiving the purses has been very positive and most appreciated!
