IDI Toronto sponsored the Millennium Kids, 1000 days left to go press conference that took place at CBC Glenn Gould Studios on April 5th, 2013 with the participation of hundreds of students from around GTA. Kids reminded the policy makers that it is vital to work towards the completion of the millennium development goals before the deadline of 2015. Dave Toycen, President and CEO of World Vision Canada, offered a memorable speech emphasizing the importance of attaining social justice around the world and how we should all work towards this goal. IDI Toronto commends the job Millennium Kids is doing in providing an opportunity for youth to get engaged and involved in the important work of international development and attaining social justice.
