Christian and Muslim friends came together and shared amazing story of the prophet Abraham, peace be upon him, as portrayed in the Holy Quran and in the Holy Bible. Co-organized by IDI GTA and Scarboro Missions, Muslims and Chrsitians shared the same table at the traditional Eid Al-Adha meal. The lunch event took place on October 19th, 2013 at Welcome Centre Markham North. Nuray Gunel, an IDI volunteer presented the Islamic perspective; and Christine Gabel of Our Lady’s Missionaries reflected upon the Christian Perspective. Turkish coffee and the exclusively designed cookies added extra joy to the atmosphere. Also, Julius Boquiren sang a psalm wonderfully with his guitar. MP Mark Adler, co-chair of the All Party Interfaith Group at the Parliament Hill in Ottawa, honoured the event with his remarks.
