On February 3rd,2013, members and volunteers of IDI Toronto had a dinner together with His Eminence, John Olorunfemi Cardinal Onaiyekan, Archbishop of Abuja, Nigeria, whose work in the field of dialogue between Christians and Muslims is much appreciated. Members of IDI Toronto and other invitees had a wonderful time and enjoyed the food from Turkish cuisine provided by IDI.
The attendees had a good conversation between each other and had the chance to ask questions to His Eminence Cardinal Onaiyekan and to the officials of IDI. Cardinal reflected on his experiences in his home country, Nigeria, where Muslims and Christians live side by side.
Cardinal Onaiyekan visited Canada with a delegation and attended several meetings in Toronto and Ottawa for about a week.
