The contest winners will be recognized and awarded at the Art and Essay Award dinner which will be held at Mississauga Convention Centre on February 20th, 2014. Top ten students in each category will attend the dinner along with their teachers and parents/guardians. Prominent leaders from the region will be invited to the dinner to support the message of the contest and honour its winners. The event will also feature a distinguished keynote speaker – Irwin Elman, Provincial Advocate for Youth and Children. Top 10 artworks and essays will be exhibited during the dinner.
PRIZES:
There will be prizes in two categories:
1. Grades 9 to 12: Essays
2. Grades 9 to 12: Art
In each area prizes are as follows:
First Place will receive a laptop computer (with MS Win8)
Second Place will receive a tablet computer (MS Surface)
Third Place will receive a Wacom Bamboo Capture tablet
All Entrants will receive a participation certificate which will be sent to their school and handed-out by teachers of participating classes. Teachers of winning students will receive awards of appreciation and recognition.
