IDI GTA organized another intercultural study trip to the heartlands of Buddhism in Aug 2016. Judges and educators from Ontario enjoyed learning first hand about the Buddhist and Hindu traditions, and great historical temples. The group had a chance to visit historical sites, schools, universities, tourist attraction sites, families, and interact directly with the local communities. IDI study trips offer a wonderful opportunity for the attendees to learn about the cultures of the countries visited via direct interaction with local people and institutions.
Seeing the sites, where Khmer Rouge inflicted their atrocities in Cambodia during late 70s, was a heartbreaking encounter for the group members. Both Thailand and Cambodia are great places to visit and learn.
