David Hulchanski

David Hulchanski is a professor of housing and community development at the University of Toronto’s Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, where he holds the Dr. Chow Yei Ching Chair in Housing.  

His research and teaching is focused on neighbourhood change, community development, housing need, homelessness, and social and economic rights. He teaches courses on social housing and community development.

He is currently the principle investigator of a 7-year $2.5 million SSHRC Partnership Grant focused on neighbourhood change and socio-spatial inequality in six Canadian cities with international comparisons.
